Rhododendron Garden Clean Up- All Ages

Do you enjoy the outdoors and meeting new people? Grassroots Hillsboro keeps the community engaged and keeps our parks healthy and beautiful. Join Griffin’s Place while we gather once a month to help enhance the habitat or to beautify the park. Tee-shirts, snacks and water are provided for volunteers. Instruction is provided in both English and Spanish.

Participants will be working with the Tualatin Valley Garden Club to beautify the Rhododendron Garden at Rood Bridge Park. Remove spent blooms, prune bushes and clean up garden beds.

When: 2nd Monday of every month

Time: 9 am – 12 pm

Location: Rood Bridge Park

You must fill out a one time application with the Hillsboro Parks and Rec Department to register as a volunteer.


Please remember to show up at the start time of your shift, give yourself enough time to find parking and volunteer check in. Volunteer check in will be labeled with signs and possibly a tent or canopy. Snacks and water are provided, please dress for the weather as events are held rain or shine. Please leave your personal belongings at home, an unsecured tote may be provided for you to leave jackets or other non-personal items in.
